1. x is smaller.

  2. it means x is smaller than y.

  3. x is smaller than y. The < points at the smaller number.

  4. Y is bigger because think of it this way: > is a crocodiles mouth, the big part which is kinda open is the mouth (the croco wants to eat the bigger fish) and the numbers are the fish. i know it sounds weird but you'll remember it! Good luck! :)

  5. X is smaller. just remember it this way. <'s always want to eat they bigger number. 1<2, 2>1. if there is a line under the that means it can aslo be equal to like at least or no more than.

  6. Think of the > or < as a monster.

Will it want to eat the smaller variable, or the bigger one?

The bigger one of course. That's how I still remember.

  7. x less than y. means x is smaller than y.

  8. < means Less Than (Smaller)

    > means Greater Than (Larger)

    so...

    x < y

    x is Less Than y

  9. x is less than y. One way to remember is to think ot the <, or > , as a mouth. The point is a closed mouth, the other side is an open mouth; you can put a greater amount of food in an open mouth, so the symbol at the point is less, or smaller.
