  1. The biggest problem with satellite internet is the "latency" or "lag" that occurs because you are sending and receiving information all the way up into space!

    A faster and cheaper solution is mobile broadband that uses cellular tower networks.

  2. Yes it does. I have had satellite internet before and satellite internet is VERY laggy with online games. I wouldn't even suggest buying an XBOX LIVE membership. It isn't even worth it, most of the time I couldn't even connect to any games. But then I got cable. I would suggest calling your cable company every month or so to inquire about getting cable service. That's what we did and now I can play XBOX LIVE every day.  Good luck.
