Does yoga helps to gain weight for underweight people?

hi, i am about 175cm and 58kg, i think my weight should be 75kg, does yoga helps to increase weight, i heard yoga helps in reducing weight. Any web links regarding this will be thankful.

  1. anything abnormal (less weight/more weight).... is cured.... yoga will make u perfect..... that is if u will b underweight u will gain or loose if over.... so just go for it....and make sure u eat healthy too...as don't forget: u r what u eat :0)


  2. Nope, i don't think so. My grandmother does it all the time and she eats Chinese sausages and goes to Swensens to eat with my nuclear family a lot of times. She is all just skin and bones.

  5. yago is not the right choice for underweight people according to me. I once read in a newspaper that a curd is very helpful for people to gain weight. so try it out!

  6. Well yoga can help you gain weight the same way any other exercise may be able to help you gain weight....by increasing muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat...so if you have high metabolism, I'd suggest going to the gym and lifting weights. Add more protein to your diet while you do this, and you should surely find yourself gaining some weight & looking more fit!

  7. You can do yoga for muslce building you have to work out aswell to put on waight eat a lot of protiens. but go onto Itunes and look at yogamazing podcast the dudes name is chad and he kicks ***. download the one for body builders and it will help if your inbto yoga. good luck

  8. The only way to gain weight is to get more calories then you burn. so, in that sence, yoga does not help with weight gaining.
