Does you Period stop when you swim?

Question

I am going on a vacation with my family soon and I can tell my second ever period is about to start.

I want to go swimming in the ocean with all of them, but I don't want to have blood gushing out all over the place.

Does it stop in the water or should I just not go swimming all together?

Im too young for tampons. Isn't those things for women who has already beed pregnet?
