  1. yes

  2. you tube videos are not very high quality and are smaller in size then dvd quality videos hosted on sites like stage6.divx.com or veoh.com so you should be able to get limited use out of you tube with dial up, although you should not be using any other internet applications while watching video, because the quality and speed is not going to be that good to begin with..

if you are going to use the internet for video you should consider a broadband connection...

    expansion on others  answers...

CPU and ram is going to have little effect on streaming video from youtube if you are using dial up...

the fastest cable internet provided right now is 30000kbps down 5000kbps up. not 5000kbps (assuming they meant down, as most people focus more on the down speed then the up speed) as the other person suggested (i have this speed) it is also the fastest speed provided currently by fios where there is fios service...

  3. It works, but here is the thing

Dial transfers data at around 28kbps.....(KB per second)

HIGHER internet speeds, like cable, are as fast as

    5000kbps!  ( 5 MB per second )

A video on youtube about 3-5 min long, (The WHOLE video)

Is gonna be over 40 MB (usually).  So, that means that your only gonna see like, 0.0056% of the video per second!

    YEA, VERY SLOW.

On the other hand, if you get a faster internet, than you can watch the video fluently without pausing, because it transfers enough of the video per second to see it

Hope this helps, and hope it wasnt Complete Latin to you

    PEACE

  4. yes but very poorly if u dont have enough ram and ur processor is slow
