  1. I don't have a 3 1/2 month old.

  2. At 3-4 months old they should be getting about 9 to 12 hours plus two naps (2 to 3 hours each)

  3. Yes, it is normal for infants to sleep a lot during the day.  My 3 month old hardly sleeps at all during the day, which is also normal.

  4. I'm a first time Mum to a 3 1/2 month old too and I think the thing to remember is that all babies are different. My Daughter doesn't sleep a lot in the day, she mainly naps for anything between 30 minutes and an hour usually after her mid morning, lunch time and mid afternoon bottle. Sometimes I wish she would sleep more in the day but then she goes to bed at 6pm and gets out of bed at 7am (with 2 feeds in the night) so I cant complain. If your Daughter is feeding, happy and sleeping well at night too then I wouldn't worry, consider yourself lucky that you've got a sleeper!

  5. I have a 3 1/2 month old and she sleeps a ton through the day, and will still sleep 10:30pm-6:30am.  She is perfectly happy, healthy and growing too fast.  I wouldn't worry, but you can always ask your pediatrician if you're concerned.

  6. My daughter did when she was going through growth spurts...she slept and ate a lot!

  7. All babies go through different stages.  My son is 4 1/2 and sleeps total of 2-3 hours a day and mostly sleeps through the night.  There are days he sleeps more than other.  Its totally normal.
