If not, does it cause conflict?

  1. No my husband and one of my sons are bulldog supporters,Myself daughter and other two sons are Sainters.

It does not cause any hassle just friendly rivalry.

  2. My eldset son (almost 9, not 8 3/4or 8 2/3) & i are Complete mental cases for the Lions.

My Wife & youngest 5 1/2 are Hawthorn,

When they play, it's cool with me & the wife, BUT the kids are screaming like couple of Banshees at each other. God help us in a few years, as i can see tears & fists flying  on the horizon.

  3. My wife is an Essendon supporter. She didn't follow AFL at all when we first got together so I took her to a game and she was hooked. Now she has been a member for 5 years. Both our daughters are Baby Bombers (yes they actually have memberships for babies), hopefully they don't do what I did to my dad and change sides when they get a little older.

  4. lol...will let you know if i ever get one ??? don`t hold your breathe !!!  lol..

  5. Me- Adelaide,  Carlton and Essendon

Parent- Port Adelaide, West coast and Collingwood.

  6. Not married, no girlfriend at this time here in Kansas. So, I guess this one doesn't apply to me at this time.

Hey Rogue, know any 43-50 year olds there in Melbourne that like Geelong (well all footy), single, hopefully no kids, enjoys lap swimming, gridiron, basketball, baseball, ice hockey and would like to meet a goofy Yank like me?

  7. My husband, son and I go for the Kangaroo, but our 12 year old daughter has always been a Richmond supporter.

We like it...Atleast we can $hit stir her.

  8. My daughter has been brought up a one eyed crows fan!

I wouldn't ALLOW it any other way :))))

Not many people cross my doorstep wearing those other S.A. colours!

The huge flag usually puts them off :))))

It causes a huge conflict in my house.

Some of my other family members support the opposition, lets just say, game days are "colourful" in my house !!!!

That's why I prefer to watch the footy alone!!

  9. My partner hates sport but agrees that hawthorn is her team even though she watches no Football.

My son and I both support Hawthorn.

  10. My wife hates footy and hates when I watch it on the weekends, something about swearing at the TV when an umpire stuffs up or my team play pathetically (which was a lot during 07).

I've got two young boys aged 2 and 1 and when they grow up hopefully they will follow the same team as myself, but I don't live in the same state as my team so I'm afraid they may experience peer pressure from mates to follow a local team, the dreaded thought they could barrack for a SA team ugh!!!

  11. Husband and 4 yr old son = Geelong

My 2 yr old daughter and I = Collingwood

Our kids might change their minds when they get older, but for now this is the way it is!

  12. Yes ,my husband does. If he didn't , I would slap him silly

  13. My GF is a Blues fan and i am a Bombers Fan, i allways go to a mates place when the 2 play, save the fire works, she gets into her footy and i hate Carlton

  14. My wife hates footy. But she will sometimes go and watch a live game with me at times. She supports Adelaide, because I do.

  15. My EX, repeat EX, wife is a mild Port Frickin Adelaide fan.  But she did say prior to the GF that she hoped Geelong won.  She had seen me in tears a few times I think and she was prepared to concede this year.

My eldest son (13) showed some worrying signs of becoming an Essendon supporter for a bit (like he thought Llloyd wasn't a whinging little piece of c**p.... what's that about? :-)) but I hung him upside down in the wardrobe and refused to feed him until he could recite the Cats theme song.  I let him out once he started screaming "Ok, Yaaablett, Yaaaaablett, Dad please, please, I said Yablett nicely".  It was tough but I taught him good!

  16. Adam goes for Brisbane Lions and I go for Essendon... it doesn't pose much of a problem except for when we want to go to a match - I hate going to matches that my team isn't playing in and so does Adam so we try to make the Brisbane v Essendon match that's down here every year.

  17. No. Hubby Essendon, me Kangas, my son Richmond and daughter the crows. Odd bunch

  18. My entire family are all Dockers supporters. We did feel some shame after the 2007 season...

  19. My dad and i go for the doggies but my mum and 2 ***** sisters go for the hawkes.
