Does your VONAGE phone work as well as a landline?

Question

Besides the obvious problem causes, such as an internet outage, how has VONAGE worked for you? Sound quality, speed, voicemail....

I have had vonage for 4 years and it works very well and has a lot of extra features that you can't get with other phone service companies. I am very pleased with it.What I like most is it is only 14.95 a month(local and long distance) for 500 minutes..I never use them up 'cause I also have a cell phone.

Yes vonage works like a landbased phone line with lots of calling features than regular phone line...

Mine works extremely well. The only problem I have is that evidently the telemarketers do not have to honor the "do not call registry!"

I like the fact that I can get emails about voice mails, and then also listen to the voice-mail on the computer and then view who has called on the computer.

Everything has been great with Vonage. I can't say that because I have it, but my brother does. He hasn't has any problems except for the obvious you have said. But the thing I love is that he has free calls to us and we have free calls to him. He is in the army and he is in South Korea. I thought it was absolutely great that they gave him a local number for where our family lives. I talked to him on the phone for about 2 hours last night and we didn't get disconnected and the clarity was great, he received a few calls and it didn't mess up our call, when I first called I reached him quickly, overall everything is great with Vonage.

VONAGE IS AN EXCELLENT TELEPHONE COMPANY, I HAVE 2 LINES FROM MY MAIN NUMBER AND MY SON HAS A DIFFERENT LINE IN HIS ROOM.   THE ONLY BAD THING IS THAT YOU CALLED THE CUSTOMER SERVICE, THEY ARE IN INDIA AND IT IS VERY BAD UNDERSTANDING THEM, ONCE IN A WHILE AN AMERICAN COMES ON LINE IF IT WASN'T FOR THAT IT, IT WOULD BE PERFECT.
