Does your baby look like you or your partner?

My son looks just like my husband and absolutely nothing like me.

Just curious about all the other Yahoo Babies.

So who does your baby look like? You? Daddy? Combination?

If your baby looks like Daddy, were you a little disappointed that baby didn't look more like you?

My baby looks like her daddy more than me but really looks like her older sister...their baby pics are the same...

i have no baby yet but i look exactly like my mom, although she say otherwise and my friends baby is a min version of him, im hoping if i have a boy it will look my partner, but i think a girl would look odd with stuble lol.

My twin girls look nothing like me except it looks like they have my hourglass figure, i wasn't too worried because the fact is that during my childhood i had a recessed jaw that made me have an overbite. But in the same breath i wanted my girls to look like me in some way. On the other hand my now 1 year old son looks tons  like me and very little like his father. So genetics played a funny trick on me again but either way what matters to me is the 3 of them are happy and healthy and love their family very much.

She looks like both of us actually. Depends on who says it but everyone has a solid opinion that she looks more like one or the other of us. It is funny. Her PCP says OMG she looks so much like her Momma! While the nurse says No she looks like Dad for sure....so funny!

Both my kids looks identical to my husband when they were born.  My daughter (5yrs) now looks like me, but my son (5 months) still looks like his dad. . .we will see if that changes.

Funny side-note:  We had the 3D ultrasound done with my son and even then he looked exactly like my husband.  Everyone I showed it to said the same.

when my son was first born he looked just like his dad and no i wasn't dissappointed by it. but now as he gets older i can see more of myself in him!!

My daughter looks just like her daddy. And I am so happy she does. She has jet black hair just like her daddy and she has blue blue eyes from her paternal great grandfather ( so they go back many generations )..and she has her daddy's nose which is just too cute and she has my lips which are nice and big...She's just gorgeous

oh my god, when ruby was a newborn, all i ever heard was how much she looked like her dad. i have dark hair and dark eyes; hubby is white-blonde, i mean really blonde, with blue eyes. since ruby is blondish with blue eyes, people really see her dad. plus, he shaves his head, so they were both bald. ha. and, yeah, i have to admit: i wanted to hear that she looked like me! and always, it was: "wow -- she looks just like her dad!" however, her dad and i recognized right away that the shape of her eyes, nose, and mouth is exactly mine. she has her dad's coloring and jawline. so now that she is getting bigger, people see me in her face more than before. in fact, we just came back from hubby's family reunion, where i heard over and over "wow, she looks like mom." not going to lie: i liked it. :)

our daughter looks exactly like me. big blue eyes, red hair, button nose. it's uncanny. but she makes expressions sometimes that look exactly like my husband, and she inherited his long fingers and toes. I'm sure the next baby will look more like him if we have a boy.

everyone says my daughter looks just like me...but when I look at her I see daddy.  She must be a perfect blend of both of us because she is just gorgeous.  Here's a pic.  I am not disappointed that she resembles daddy he has gorgeous brown eyes and beautiful skin.  I am proud that our daughter looks like daddy.

To me they look like Daddy. To him, they look like me. To everyone else, they look like whoever is sitting next to them. So, I suppose they look like a combination of both of us.

I am the same way. When I was younger, I was always told I looked like my dad and my mom and my aunts. I guess it is when we are next to those people, those features that are the same stand out more.

My son looks exactly like his daddy. When he was first born, people would ask me, is he even yours. I don't mind, because I think my husband is very handsome, and I'm glad my little boy looks like him. Landon does have my eyes though. They are greenish blue. Very pretty.

My daughter looked a lot like my husband when she was a baby,the same face shape, eyes, mouth and facial expressions. But now that she is getting older (she is 3) she is looking more and more like me!! Some relatives came to visit last weekend and they met her for the first time and said "She looks exactly like you when you where that age!"....she still makes some of her dad's expressions tough.

My son on the other hand is a reincarnation of my husband! We where looking at his baby pictures and I swear I was looking at my baby! The only thing is that my son was born with A LOT of hair like I had when I was a baby and he has the most pronounced dimples on both cheeks thanks to his grandpa!

It's so funny that you carry these babies for 9 months and they can come out looking so much like someone else!

At the moment my son looks mostly like his dad who has dark hair and dark eyes. His eyes are really big though like mine but I have blond hair and blue eyes and his are dark brown. It's kind of funky though as mixed into his dark hair are tiny blond ones so I hope they will stay there even as he gets bigger. I think the mouth is a bit like mine but everyone says "oh what a cute baby - he looks just like his dad" so that's nice, but annoying that noone thinks he looks like me... But his dad is gorgeous so I guess I should just be happy to have two gorgeous boys!

our son looks justl ike his daddy.

he does have my nose and eyes, but other than that he is all daddy.

we just had his 9 month photos done, and when we got them back one of the pictures looks just like one his dad had at that age.

it cracks me up when i look at pictures of them and they have the same exact expression. too funny.

im not disapointed at all.

the only thing im surprised about is that he has blond hair like his dad. i have brown hair, and for some reason i thought hed have darker hair too.

everyone jokes with me and asks if i even had anyhting to do in making him, since he is such a spitting image of his dad.

My only son has my eyes, hair and ears. Everything else is just like my husband, nose, mouth, face shape, and the body from neck to feet.

I've noticed in many families that I know (Not all of them), that the first child looks more like dad, the second looks more like mom and the third has many things from both.. I really notice it all the time!

And I really love the characteristics that my son has, It doesn't bother me that he looks more like daddy.

Johnny looks just like me.  The only thing that even resembles his dad is his eye color.  

The other day, my best friend and I were walking around the fairgrounds and this lady came up and started saying how cute Johnny was... My best friend was holding him, but the lady looked at me and said and you must be mommy because he looks just like you!

Our first son looks almost exactly like his mommy.  Our second son looks more like daddy.  However, they both have characteristics of both of us and you can definitely tell they are brothers.

Yes, I was a little disappointed.  I mean, I did all of the work and carried them for 9 months and then they came out looking like a mini version of my husband!  What gives?!  LOL!

Actually, both of my boys looked exactly like my husband when they were born.  Once my oldest was around 18 months, he started looking a little bit like me.  He looks more and more like me each day.  

Our youngest has my ears but that's it.  

Oh well, I get to look at the 3 most handsome boys/men I've ever seen, every day of my life, I'm a lucky girl.  : )

ETA:  Ellie, I just realized there are a lot of answers from moms stating that their baby started to look like them as they got older.  I'll post a link to a couple of pictures so that you can see how much my oldest has changed (yours very well may too!).  I don't have very many pictures on this computer but I have a few.  (I realized when looking at my pictures on this computer that I can't tell the difference between my boys  unless I look at their hair color, LOL!)

Thank you, Ellie!  The middle picture was taken when my husband was home from Iraq for his 2 week leave.  I was afraid Aidee wouldn't remember his daddy but he did.

Mostly everyone thinks my oldest looks like his daddy but I think he looks like me when I was little. But he does look like his daddy. He has my eyes & smile though.

My husband's entire family thinks my youngest looks like me. I think he looks like me but is chubby like his daddy was when he was a baby.

My friend's son looks just like her and her daughter looks just like her husband! I think its funny that a little boy can look like his mommy and a little girl can look like her daddy (because of opposite genders).

Bradley looks like me right now.  It's the hair color mostly. I'm a redhead and he has strawberry blonde hair.  We both have bright baby blue eyes so we can't really claim the eyes.  He'll have his dad height some day--thank goodness!
