I have a bank account that has been in the red for almost a month. Can your banking information effect your credit score, or is banking info considered private?

  2. No unless you don't pay the account then they can send you to collection.

  3. Not so sure if it will effect your credit score, but no one will lend you any money for a house, car etc. with that on there.

  4. To answer your question, it can both directly and indirectly. If you continue to keep it like you have it will be charged off as a collection account which can tank your score. To make matters worse, the bank then reports you to another database called chexsystems for 5 years, which pretty much blacklists you from opening up another bank account. In this day and age, you really can't afford not to have a bank account. While your banking information is private, it's still a vital part of your credit, so my suggestion would be to take care of that ASAP
