i'm 16 and I just noticed more vein lines on my wrists and forearms. Does the body make more veins as we grown older?

  1. no.

  2. No but if you're having a growth spurt and getting taller then your body fat percentage might be a little lower and the lack of subcutaneous fat (relatively) would make the veins show more obviously.

Or maybe you had a sun-tan and now the tan is fading your veins look more noticeable against your paler skin?

My husband is Indian and he has scars on his arm from a car accident but when he's in the sun his skin is darker and you can't see them so easily because his skin looks a shade darker.

See your doctor if your worried but i'm sure you'll be fine! It doesn't sound serious, honest! :)
