  1. how would your car insurance company know you were in the hospital unless you tell them. It is confidential.......

  2. A straight forward heart attack (if there is such a thing), is not a notifiable condition, so no you don't have to do anything. Unless your doctor says anything to the contrary.

  3. you only have to tell your insurance company if you had to tell the dvla, which you shouldn't have to do unless its a heart condition as opposed to a one off heart attack.

  4. hier, years ago when i first started in insurance, the companies did used to be able to get away with charging you - until someone challenged it in the high courts. now they are not allowed to discriminate by charging extra premiums. you will need to inform them, but provided you are not driving against  medical advise you are fine

  5. Dependent on the medical condition and whether the condition is controlled by medication.  You may or may not have to tell DVLA.

    http://www.dvla.gov.uk/media/pdf/medical...

Lists the medical conditions and the requirements.

As for insurance, You will have to inform them, but in my experience (a heart condition controlled by medication) my insurance were happy for me to continue driving providing I wasn't driving against doctors advice.

  6. No it shouldnt rise, but you do need to inform the insurance company
