  1. Yes! He goes around my legs and then jumps on the counter by the sink. he then pushes his face into mine. He is showing me that he loves me.

  2. Yes. My female mostly. She tries to jump in my lap and purr like crazy.

  3. Yes, they are strangely fascinated by us using the restroom.  Maybe our cats are perverts.  ;-)

  4. yes

  5. lol. We have elaborate productions too. The cats go when I number one and the dogs accompany me when I number two. No particular reason though.lol. I got to give em all a chance to smell the nature in me.lol. My family including the turtle follow me everywhere I go.

  6. We had 2 that joined us when we went to the restroom sometimes the shower 2.

  7. yes, and sits on my lap when she can. She also joins me when i have a bath. If I don't call her as soon as I enter the bathroom she will meow and scratch on the door to be let in.

  8. yeah my 2 kittens fight to sit on my lap whilst I'm the toilet, particularly during the night or first thing in the morning!

Also one of their litter boxes is in there so sometimes they decide to go at the same time......

They also watch me by sitting on the edge of the bath whilst I shower and our eldest kitten has also laid on my husbands chest whilst he was in the bath!

  9. He tries but if he starts rubbing my leg I kick him out. His sister never tries. I have 2 cats.

  10. Yep, my male & female cats do :S

    It's soo annoying!

  11. yes THEY do. I have 13 cats, I can't remember the last time I was completely alone in the bathroom. for some reason they think I am either going to climb out the window or drown in there.

  12. No but that may be because when people are home I close the door.  She also does not like the sound of the toilet flushing or the water in the sink when I wash my hands--she is a bit of a sissy.

  13. yep!! my kitty's litterbox is in d bathroom so we do our 'business' at the same time ahahah

  14. Yes they do! When you have cats, you don't have privacy anymore!

  15. He tries, but he fails.  My cat sometimes tries to get in when I'm in the shower, but he can't.  But my friend has two cats who are always in there!    Her fat orange tabby, Peekaboo, is in the tub, drinking the water that drops out of the facet, and her other cat, Patch, a black sleek tabby who reminds me of a kind prince, goes up to the sink and starts to drink the water while your washing your hands!  The funny thing is that they're brothers, and my friend will turn the water up real high when they're drinking so we can actually USE the sink or tub.  I now I started to ramble...

  16. Sometimes. We've only had him for 2 weeks so he's still getting use to the house. He's been in the bathroom I think twice. He loves to follow me into the kitchen and try to catch my feet.

  17. yes...made the mistake of leaving the kitty brush on the floor in there, now every time some one goes near the bathroom the girls will wake out of a coma and come running for a brushing....

  18. yes and when im taking a shower

  19. yep, i dont get it lol

  20. Yeah it's hella weird. =/

Usually it's at the end of the day when I'm brushing my teeth, washing my face, etc. He sort of just paces/walks around.

And my other cat used to follow me into the bathroom when I'd go to take a shower. Lol.

  21. sometimes, if he manages to squeeze past me when I shut the door.

  22. yes even when im taking a c**p and h**l try to jump up on my lap

  23. Yes every morning when I use the toilet. I think he thinks if he doesnt follow me there he might not get fed.

  24. Yes! and If i close the door they scratch at the door to get in!

  25. Yes. I have a few theories on why...

Cats are very curious. It's very common for them to want to know what you're doing at all times. I think because many people usually close the door when they use the bathroom, cats are perplexed by our need for privacy, and want to investigate this discreet behavior of ours. Perhaps because we are the ones that clean their litter box, they feel the need to know what's going on with our bathroom habits.

Cats also have a sense of smell that is fourteen times stronger than ours, and they identify other animals and people by their scent. So when they sniff towards the toilet, this indicates that identifying our scent may also be a reason. They are also intrigued by any noise of water running, whether it's the sink, or us. Haha.

Another possible reason (that was mentioned above) is that while you are on the toilet, most of us aren't doing anything else, so it's a good opportunity for them to be petted.
