the other day, when I went out in the yard my 8 year old tabby cat was on top of the roof meowing real pitiful like she couldn't get down, so I went and got the ladder got to the top, she ran to the other end of the roof, where our motor home is parked within a foot of the house, jumped on top of the motor home, turned around and climbed down the ladder that's on the back of it and jumped to the ground.. several days went by and she did the same, and so I figured out to ignore her and she quits doing it.

  1. Actually she's just playing with you.  Cats are smart and like to think of different "games" to play with you.  Have fun with her, don't ignore her.

  2. Smart cat!  Love her all the more for being able to play with you like that!

  3. My old cat used to do this. My dad was cutting down the apple tre in our garden and he got right to the top, sat on the 'stump' (if you can call it that when its 15ft up) and started yowling. After much confusion we managed to get up there, and he run straight back down. he would also sit infront of the cat flap and howl until you opened it for him even though he was perfectly capable of doing it himself
