Question:

Does your child's school have a rodent/bug (ie: roaches) problem?

My daughter left her backpack at school over the weekend by accident. She bought it home Monday and thought nothing of it. Then, on Tuesday morning my wife spotted a roach in our kitchen (we've lived in our house over five years and NEVER had a roach).

I mentioned it to my daughter's teacher who said, "Between us, our school has a huge roach and rodent problem." She showed me all the roach motels she keeps around the classroom in corners and behind stuff.

I spoke to another parent who told me that a snake got into the building last Fall and the custodian had to take it out. She'd also heard from her child that there were mice droppings found in the classroom.

Is this common? I really want to report the situation, but to who?

  1. no bugs here but we have to clear the rats out after every summer

  2. No, at my school thay only have small roaches. No mice droppings, snakes or other stuff.

You should report it to the school principal to call a pest control.

  3. That bad. And I wouldn't send your child there next year or anything. They know they shouldn't be that way and continue letting it. I would report the school to the state. Board of Education has well. It not safe for those kids to be in that at all.

  4. I would address your concern to the school board because that is very unsanitary to have that many bugs & rodents! I live in South Florida which I'm sure they have some bugs but I have never seen any raoch motels laying around!

  5. I would contact the school.  I don't think my daughters school has that problem.
