My 14 month old LOVES lawnmowers. He cant see the people that mow our lawn without going crazy. He has 4 that he pushes around our house and lawn. If he see's one at the store he starts screaming until he can push it around. He doesnt use any other push toys only lawnmowers. He rode with his grandpa on one and since then it's lawnmowers all the time.So funny to me.

What random stuff do your kids go crazy over?

  1. My 4 year old is really into superheroes. Superman and Batman and the whole Justice League. I wouldnt really call it weird though but anything that has them on it he has to have. HE also loves knives and guns.He has a lot of toy one but he has a box with about 30 pocket knives he has collected. He cant open them and play with them but he likes daddy to show them to him. He has had a fascination with Rambo lately!

  2. When my son was small he was into firetrucks, when he was 2 and could talk he would tell everyone he was going to be a firetruck when he grew up. It was like that for years, almost till he was 7. Now he is 17 and a fireman. Maybe your son will be a Gardener? His gpa gave him a happy memory that he is reliving as much as he can. His gpa must be entirely special! Mommy of 6

  3. My son is three and a real little man - he loves all types of bugs and has a real passion for football. Also, I'm a photographer and ever since he was a small baby he has loved watching me and holding my camera, 'Just like Daddy'. His biggest though, is his absolute fascination with dragons, he just loves them. Anything dragon related and he goes mad.

Not weird, but definitely an obsession he won't lose easily!

  4. I know when I was between 2-4, I was OBSESSED with sleeves:(  Like, any kind of sleeve, long or short.  I'd even point them out and say, "Seeve, seeve!  Daddy's seeve!  Baby's seeve!"  (Without the 'l', 'cause when I was 1/2 I couldn't say it right.)  Mainly the reason I was obsessed with sleeves was because I sucked mine 24/7.  And, if Mommy and Daddy didn't put me in something with sleeves, like a sundress, I'd cry and wail, "I want sleeves!  Where are my sleeves?"  Weird, huh?

  5. When I was small(-er) I used to freak out when Tots TV came on...jumped and flapped my hands a lot.

The weirdest thing was that I liked fish...so I carried a can of tuna  around with me all the time when I was a toddler :L I was known for it

  6. My 4 year old is a 'collector'.  It is totally random what she collects - some days its rocks, sometimes hair bands, barrettes, cups, blades of grass, etc.  But nearly every day she fills a cup or bag full of her collection.  Then she moves on.

  7. so long as he doesnt touch the blades, i wouldnt worry about it. im a 14 year old, and my several lifelong obsessions have never done me any harm.

  8. OOH!  I just remembered, fuzzies!  Yes, I used to call my daughter my crazy fuzzie collector.  We'd be over at my parent's house, and she'd see a tiny piece of fuzz on the rug, and next thing you know she'd have it in the crook of her one of her fingers, carrying it around with her for the day!  She's so good she used to carry it that way and go about doing everything normal for the day, all while keeping that little fuzzy tucked away safely and unnoticed in the crook of one of her fingers!  She would do that anywhere, and the fuzzy could be from anything.  It just became her 'thing', so much so that other people started collecting them for her!  My mom, the little girl at the sitter's, etc.  She was SO into them for the longest time, but she is almost 4 now and I've noticed that she's not into them as much anymore.  Definitely something to write in the baby book though!

  9. my son,2, is nuts about cleaning!  Brooms dust pans, vaccumms, he even uses his diaper wipes to clean everything that he can reach.  Anywhere we are he has to help people clean.  He even grabbed a push broom at a restaurant and started cleaning there.  I am so not a clean freak so no clue where he got this from, maybe he just thinks I need the help!!! lol!

  10. well a long time ago when my daughter was eight-twelve  she was really into learning. she couldn't get enough of those home school books with math and English and science and social studies. every time we went to the store i would have to get her one or shed cry. now she's 25 and she's a substitute teacher for every subject and she is a cool teacher too

  11. My eldest used to go wild over paperwork.  Anything that needed to be filled in - surveys, forms, what ever - that started when he was 3.  If ever something went missing I'd go look in his room.
