Does your dog follow you into the bathroom?

My dog will do anything to lay at my feet anywhere I go. It's gotten to the point I cant shut the door or he'll ram the door so much I cant concentrate on the task at hand.

Hm. I think it means your dog likes you very much, maybe even too much. Hm, it's better than if your dog hates you and bites you.... My dog doesn't know who I am that much unlike my dad and grandfather. They are the ones my dogs likes. I'm gonna get a pup and I'm gonna have a puppy soon, so I hope that she won't follow me up to school LOL. Here's some suggestions:

- Give your dog food when you want to escape from him/her(Like my dad did)

- Teach him/her a trick like STAY or SIT. Command your dog to do it

- Ask your friend or sibling or anything to be close to your dog so that your dog won't be YOUR TAIL (Which means follows you everywhere like a tail)

One time, when my dog was new, after I wake up and have to go to school. I go to the bathroom. After I go there, I open the bathroom door and I just see him there. He kept doing it when me or my dad is in the bathroom. He did it to me for about a month. Now he's in a cage because he bites and he doesn't like it inside that much.

Yeah I have a 11 month old West Highland Terrier and he'll follow you everywhere and if he can't see you or you shut him out of somewhere he'll screech the house down!

not only the bathroom, EVERYWHERE!!!!! sometimes it gets a little annoying, but i dont know what to do about it.....

All four of mine find it necessary to come in the bathroom with me.  I don't think I would know what to do without a dog in there with me :)  Heck, I can't take a shower without them being outside the shower door.

IF I can get the door shut without a dog (VERY rare), they lay outside the door, whine, paw the door, and if that does not work, they stick their paws under the door so I know they are there.  It's crazy!

Yes...we have 4 dogs and they all come to see what is going on...make sure nothing is up and then head back out.

yes my dog and my cat follow me to the bathroom my dog sits there and my cat jumps on my lap while I'm going geez someone is always in the bathroom with me, LOL

yes, ha. my chiuahah runs every where with me. say i'm playing football outside, he'll run right under my feet and trips me. i want to get a blue skin american pitbull soon though. (don't tell my dog lol)

One of my dogs is my shadow and sometimes she tries to follow me in there.  Hubby says the dogs aren't allowed in there though, so if he's around she gets a big "out".  So when she does try it's just a tentative peep cos she gets told no half the time!

My dog will try to go in the bathroom with me, however she is rather gullible so I mime a ball throw and she'll go off in pursuit of the invisible ball.

Lol, my dogs love to try to follow me into the bathroom. They usually end up with the door closed in their face - then they act like I vanished for YEARS when I come out again :D

It's even better when I shower - when I come out, they're all laying on the ground right by the door, sleeping. Then they give me this look that says 'We've been waiting forever! You've finally come back to us!'

Yes, I have a beagle sometimes I make him wait out side the door and I am told he places his nose on the door and stares at it like he can see through it or something. Its very comical!
