  1. If you are on approved FMLA leave, your employer will pay what he usually pays per month. If you have to pay a certain amount out of each of your checks, you will still be responsible for paying that amount each month. So if you usually pay say $35 each pay period for your insurance, you are still responsible to pay that even if you are on maternity leave.
