  1. Bibi n is on crack or very young.

People said the same thing about VHS. There were enough VHS players at one time to have like 2 in every home in the USA. Where is it now? It's dead.

DVD is too expensive, it costs too much, you can't record to it, blah, blah, blah. Now, for now anyway, DVD is king if you look at the numbers.

Now the majority of TVs sold are HD, those sets need food. Cable, and Sat offer big HD packages. Blu ray is a natural extention of DVD. The prices of the titles are already about the same as DVD.

Prices will fall, players will get cheaper, the PS3 will be cheap in 2-3 years. It might be slow, but blu ray will take over DVD at some point.

And yes, as DVD fades out, if your library carries DVD, they will probably carry blu ray.

  2. no

    they never would

blyray is too expensive to make thus the price wouldd always be high. It would never be as popular as the dvd

  3. it depends

r u looking for movies or educational sources

movies - im sure libraries will have them, but expect very limited choices (theyre pricey). but if u wanna rent, blockbuster.com rents bd as low as $2.

as for educational bd discs - theres gonna be very few since  dvd is still the majority's prefered use. so authors will definitely use dvd, for now.
