Does your loved one with mental disabilities / special needs have serious ongoing issues in life?

Does he or she currently have serious challenging behavior problems? Does he or she (because of the disability / disorder) fuss and cry like a toddler when upset? Is he or she getting support from anyone? Does he / she essentially find it emotionally hard to go through altered routines, unlike routines they normally are fond of doing most likely everyday? Do you have a loved one with special needs / mental disabilities that is so hard to control that he / she could be on a show like SUPERNANY, but involves people with special needs / mental disabilities with serious issues and challenging behavior problems? Please tell me what you know about your loved one with special needs / mental disabilities, but BE SPECIFIC.

  1. first of all you have to realize that someone with mental diabilities, are not going to behave  on their normal age level.

they are usually behind in their age level....many years.

you have to treat them in that level.

yet'''' you also have to maintain some type of control.

    use your own judgement.

    don't be to harsh...be understanding.

    but stand your grounds.

  3. No, not in my household

  4. Some adults with special needs do indeed have these issues. Some cannot be cared for in the home, due to the need for physical restraints, etc. Hospitals, nursing homes, group homes, and assisted living facilities can all be helpful.
