Does your relationship feel like it is on fast-forward?

Question

When your soldier comes home from being deployed , does it ever feel like your relationship is on fastforward and then when they are gone it feels like it is on pause?

Is so, how do you adjust? I'm still kind of new to the whole army relationship thing. Thanks so much for the help!!

Speaking from the other side of the coin, it's the same for us. While we're home it's great, when we're gone it's a drag. Make every homecoming like it's the first time. It makes our life much more bearable.

Sometimes, I would describe it more like I get that butterfly tingly first date, first kiss feeling all over again, every time we get back together. I am so nervous before he comes home, it's like I'm back in HS (which is laughable).
