Does your trombone turn silver if you leave it in the bathtub too long?

Hi Billy.   If your trombone is normally a gold brass,  it will not turn silver no matter how long you leave it in the bathtub.  Just cannot happen... but I would not leave it in the bathtub longer than it needs to be for a good cleaning.   You trombone could start to corrode from the inside which would not be a good thing.  I hope I was able to help.
