  1. Make sure it's under 100 mg, and look for the non sulfate form.

When I took iron (ferrous sulfate) years ago, it caused terrible nausea. A nurse friend suggested that many react to the sulfer. Read labels. At a quality health food store, read and compare labels of a few vitamin/mineral bottles. I choose the picolinate  over the sulfates always.

  2. I agree it makes me sick too.

  3. Zinc is a metal, and can upset your stomach if it's empty. Just eat a bit.

  4. Mineral tablets can be nauseating. You need to have balanced nutrition, not just one or two of something.

  5. Anytime you take something that is in a concentrated form, you risk feeling nauseated.  Zinc is just fine to eat or drink with something else.  Some vitamin/minerals don't do well with some foods or other vitamin minerals.  But zinc is fine to eat something with it.
