Doesn't Palin have more Executive experience?

Than all four candidates?

She's the only one who has been a Mayor and a Governor. And her state borders two countries, so she has had some "foreign" experience contrary to the Obamabots.

So, isn't Palin the most experienced candidate for President, let alone Vice President?

The other three have been Senators. Well, two have, anyway.

  1. you are CORRECT sir....

  2. I think it says it all that the second point you make is that "her state borders two countries, so she has had some 'foreign' experience." Ranks right up there with, she has commanded the Alaska National Guard and has a son in the Army.

That extreme stretch to defend her qualifications is exactly why she's a poor choice.

If people were defending Obama's experience with such blatantly thin arguments, you would be excoriating them. Right?

  3. Yes she has more executive experience than McCain, Obama, and Biden, but that doesn't make her experienced. She's only been Governor for a year and a half and she was almost recalled as mayor.

If that were the case then that means she has more executive experience than the majority of the Senators on Capitol Hill. And in my opinion the Senators on capitol Hill know more about the country than a little known Governor of a small state like Alaska.

  4. Yeh, more experience with reindeers

  5. That is correct. She has also made positive changes in her state...Obama has only talked about it.

  6. shes on the right side of the ticket tooo

  7. Mayor of a town of 5,000!?!

She wasn't even qualified to be governor.

We need to dump her. FAST

  8. Your kidding right?  She used to handle sports on the news...She has NO experience...Texas borders Mexico and Bush was still an idiot...

  9. Yes she does.

  10. Yes

    Mccain/Palin 2008

  11. She does have more executive experience, but I don't know that we can make these blanket statements. Legislators of 30+ years are likely more prepared than an executive of 20 months (or whatever number it is now) to make the transition. But experience isn't the whole story. We need to hear more from all the candidates. I'm waiting for the debates.

  12. I'd argue, no.

So, she was Governor of Alaska. Alaska is one of the only states in the U.S. with a budget surplus - which she inherited. There is a great deal of corporate taxes and very few residents and government employees.

Alaska has virtually no unemployment, because most people go up there to work (in the natural resources industries) and when their jobs are gone, they leave.

There's almost zero cultural diversity - the state has less then four percent latinos, four percent African-American, and about 10% Inuit. There's no city that's in the top 100 in any crime statistic.

None of these statistics have anything to do with Governor Palin.

Think about this way. I grew up in a small town called Maplewood, Missouri. It had about 11,000 residence, or roughly 1.5 times the size of the town Governor Palin was mayor of. I know the current mayor, Mark Langston. He's a really nice guy. If he attempted to run for the Govenorship of Missouri, I'd laugh at him.

Our Governor is Matthew Blunt, a second generation politician (his father is Roy Blunt who was a longtime senator). He's just finished his first term as Governor. He's full-blood conservative, and shares a ton of issues with Governor Palin. He has effectively double the experience of Sarah Palin, and I'd laugh hysterically if he was put on the GOP ticket.

I find Governor Palin a laughable choice, even for my own party. I'm not inclined to support Senator Obama, but there's no choice in comparison between Governor Palin and Senator Biden.
