They should have more than one medal for the basketball competition since involves so many players, and so many games.

  1. Each person on the team gets a medal, but it only counts for one medal towards medal counts.

  2. lol at this idiot.everyone gets a gold

  3. Everyone in the team gets a gold. But obviously, there is only one Gold-medal winning team, like in every other team event.

  4. Then they all should get medals in the rowing and soccer and almost every other multiple person sport.

Its to do with the sport. Whether it is a team sport or whether one man can do it. Are you american btw and do you wish you were leading the olympics?

  5. Hi,

If a Nations Gold medal count gets increased just by winning some team events like basketball or hockey or football or volleyball, every nation would soon easily forget to encourage individual athlete. That makes individual talents are less known to the world.

  6. One Medal for One event. .

The gymnastics team only counted one gold medal even though every member got a medal.

The beach volleyball counts as only one medal but both members get a medal.

Do you think that basketball should count for more than one medal. Hey that does not make sense since only 5 members play at one time so why should it could for the number of members on the team

  7. i kind of agree but if you really think about it.. it's about which is country is better at that event so it doesn't matter how many people is involve.

a football team cannot do any better in pole vault as it only requires one person.

  8. What a stupid question.1 Gold per event.Basketball isn't the only team sport anyway.what about Football and lots of others, you'll get over losing when u grow up.
