Doesn't it seem like we are in a recession? The Republicans have been saying no. What do you think?

What do you think is the reason for over $4 gas prices? The increasing food prices? The jobless rate being historically high? Schools are laying off teachers and programs to help are being cut.

  1. I'll believe is a recession:

    - the day I wont have to look around a parking lot at the mall or the grocery store to be able to find a spot;

    - the day I get to see Muvico's parking empty;

    - the day we don't have to wait for a table at a restaurant;

    - the day I'll be able to find a parking spot close to the Entry doors at Home Depot or Lowes;

    but, ESPECIALLY,

    - the day I get to see no one waiting for a turn at the pet grooming salon,



    AND....

    - the day I see the *pet* supermarkets empty


  2. Record day on the Dow baby....Up over 300.  Dollar rebound.  Oil continues to slide.  Good signs, but it ain't over yet.

    Recession.

  4. Doesn't matter what either party says, it is determined by the economy. so far the economy has had a gain, ever so slight and not as much as in the last 2 years, but is is still a gain on the GNP so it is not a recession.

    And absolutely not a depression.
