Sarah Palin's choice by John McCain & the Iraqi surge working, oil prices dropping, new home sales up are all adding up to excitement and expectation as the Republican Party puts everything together.

Even Nancy Pelosi's sabotaging of Congress is being overcome by great moves from the RNC.

Doesn't "The One" look pretty defeatable now? He is going down...

The Repubs are the only ones using the rediculous terms "the one" "messiah" and such. Why?

He's simply the Democratic nominee, just as McCain is hte Republican nominee.

In fact, McCain should be so confident now that he should just stop buying advertising.  There's no need.

And maybe he should just call off the Republican convention altogether.  What good would it do at this point, what with the election in the bag?

While he's at it, maybe he should just take a three-month vacation between now and November 4.  He needs to be fully rested by the time he takes office in January.  

Yep, it's all over.  McCain has it sewn up.  I can't imagine anything that could POSSIBLY cost him the election at this point.

  Where are you getting these stats from.  They are all wrong.  Palin choice is a blunder, oil prices are falling because oil consumption is down because Americans can't afford gas, Iraq surge is slightly working but ewe are still spending billions every month and afghan is now hurting, home sales are only up because of record number of foreclosures, next you will say american's income is up.

No, he looked defeatable prior to last week but at this point it looks like the GOP is out of anything that could convnce the people to give them another chance. Sara Palin was a desperate move, and probably a really bad one. Not because of her kids so much but because of troopergate which is a real issue and will reflect on mccain's lack of judgement - something the obama camp has made a real point of attacking mccain on - and something he is doing a good job of proving.
