  1. Sadness does indeed have a twisted beauty about it.  It is also caused by something that has stirred our mind, heart and spirit so deeply that it makes us feel alive.

Sadness can often to lead to personal growth as well, so if you are searching for the lesson admist the pain that feels beautiful to know that you will come out all the more better.

  2. I think sadness can be good sometimes. My mood changes a lot. People question it. I don't care what they think.

  3. True and I guess towards the end..

  4. yes but i prefer an ugly happiness

to be free of suffering doesn't mean to stop being human,

"your love has got me my lady into the cities of sadness

and before you i didn't enter the cities of sadness

i didn't ever know that tears are the human

that a human without sadness is a memorial of a human"

    nezar q'abbani

  5. In my opinion, no.

Sadness (as well as stress, anger, and fear) is part of hatred-rooted consciousness. Such consciousness is a source of suffering. Suffering isn't beautiful; it what makes people unhappy. Sadness/sorrow is a mild form of this consciousness; at its strongest it's termed despair, and extreme despair is what leads to suicide.

People can cling to sadness if they like, for whatever reason (thinking unhappiness is beneficial for me, I need to be sad because I'm usually happy, I should be sad because my logic says this situation is undesirable so I should punish myself, none of this is my fault so I deserve to punish myself more). For similar reasons, people cling to other harmful types of consciousness too.

Sadness can be beautiful if you choose to perceive it that way. But the perception may not be a helpful perception to have if a person wishes to be free of suffering.

  6. Sadness doesn't feel beautiful to me.

  7. I was just thinking about that. Yes, I think everything is beautiful, in its own way. Without the bad, there is no good.

  8.    I suppose we've all had a good cry...it's good for the soul.
