Didn't football lose everything it stands for nowadays?

Its all about money now, honoring your contract and being loyal to your club is no more an objective.

I think that this is very pathetic and lame, players are getting blinded by the amount of money being offered for them which is a ridiculously huge amount. If clubs were just like the old days when nobody payed an insane amount for a single player and none were blinded and all were loyal wouldn't you have liked football way better than you currently do?

The world of football is being destroyed by greediness and cash!

I for one will!!

  1. There should be a blanket rule made by FIFA.

Transfer fees limit to ten million quid.

    Six figure salary cap.

    Ticket prices quartered.

If all the money spent on football went to a proper cause like saving this country from a recession maybe cristiano ronaldo would know what the term '5 year contract' means!

If FIFA dont do something in a decade football clubs will bankrupt the whole bloody continent!

  2. i asked a similar question before.

very few players nowadays are considered loyal to their teams and as for the money, the more the clubs are willing to bid to acquire new players, the more greedy they become.so its not only the players fault that money is of such importance these days rather than the clubs themselves

but i agree, they are paid an insane amount of money and that shouldnt matter if you really love your job

  3. its been happening for years

  4. And its going to get worse before it gets better.

  5. The amounts of ca$h are becoming a huge problem, complicated by the fact that the world's top clubs are located in several different countries. FIFA might have some power to fix this, but I'm not sure if they have the will.

  6. are you telling me that if you're earning say 75K each year and another company comes and offers to double your salary, you wouldn't take it?

yeah right. It's the same with footballers, they want to maximize their earning potential, what's wrong with that?

  7. You do have a point. C. Ronaldo's actions during the past summer reaffirmed this. There are loyal footballers still out there like Giggs, Scholes, and Puyol, but still they're just a minority among the several money hungry footballers. It's a shame really.
