  1. I've wondered that a lot recently, but you have to look at why is Russia in Georgia right now?  Did Georgia open fire on civilians in a primarily Russian providence first?  I don't think Russia has fully scaled into Georgia right now, nor is Russia attempting or citing that it's a take over so it's kind of not comprehensible at this point...It's more like the Gulf War in a weird way for now...to me at least...It should be interesting, yet very scary how this plays out! that for sure!

  2. Actually Russia has a much more valid reason...

Georgia broke a cease-fire and atttacked first.

No such thing happened in Iraq. That was a

much more totally unjustified invasion. Yet it's

funny how Bush thinks that's OK, but what the

    Russians are doing is terrible.

I think oil makes for a slippery slope.

  3. Before you ask questions learn more about the subjects in your questions.  It is clear that you do not understand why the Russians are fighting with the Georgians.  It doesn't even remotely resemble why we are in Iraq.  Incidentally, Russia isn't invading Georgia.  They are shelling and bombing the heck out of it but there is no invasion.

  4. The Reason why this is happening its because the US as often play behind the scene...Americains are pushing Georgia to become part of NATO (Like Kosovo) so some US army bases could be installed and the power of Russia reduced...No wonder that the Russian refuse to see this happening...who would?

What is happening today it's another exemple of the US creating trouble in the region.

  5. no dont be stupid and try to compare unlike things

  6. Russia is NOT invading Georgia. Georgia was directed by criminal and war criminal Bush administration to invade small republic of South Ossetia where Russian peacekeeping forces were stationed since 1992. Russia only helps South Ossetia to drive Georgian invaders away. Our government on purpose keeps spreading false and misleading propaganda in order to make Russia look bad. For your information Georgian puppet president Saakashvili is a former attorney from NY.

  7. The difference was that the US was acting based on UN resolutions against a recognized paria government that were blocked from being enforced by Russia and France due to their fear of losing their oil profits there.  In the case of Georgia, Russia is trying to reform their old empire.  There are simularities but no, the US has no moral or legal reason to refrain from condeming international acts of p****y from fascist countries.

The UN has verified that Russia is in the process of full-scale invasion of Georgia including para drops into a military air base next to the capital.

  8. Georgia is not part of the U.N. they are a break off of Russia. So to those that are asking why the U.N. isn't getting involved its because they have no responsibility to Georgia.

No these are two completely different situations. Unless you define the situation as one country involving themselves military with another country, in which every military conflict in the world would be the same as this particular situation.

It isn't complicated, just different, and I am not going to explain the differences, you can do that on your own.

  9. Now this is not as easy, as It looks like. I would suggest you to look into more details of the issue, but let me tell everyone some of the basics ok?

1 - South Ossetia is part of Georgia, it claims to be independent, but no nation has ever recognized it (even Russia) so it still remains as part of Georgia.

2 - Georgia has not opened fire in the first place, Georgia had to enter to South Ossetia, because the separatists were firing at georgian villages, where civilians live, besides Georgian President Saakashvili offered separatists of South Ossetia to surrender before an answering fire would begin.

NOTE: Russian Peacekeepers told Georgian officials, that they had lost control over the Separatists. Term Peacekeepers means that it is responsible to keep peace between 2 parties and if you are unable to do that, what could Georgian government do, rather than go in and fight separatists, to protect georgian villages. Still, taking into consideration, that this is GEORGIAN TERRITORY

3 - Russia is not saying, that they are invading Georgia (although this is just what they are doing) They say they want to maintain peace and protect civilians. AHA now wait a minute, If Russia's Intentions was to keep peace why didn't they stoped separatists, when they started to shoot at civillian villages, in the first place. (Instead of doing that, they said they they are unable to control Separatists, can anyone imagine, that Russia was unable to control bunch of separatists?)

4 - Saddam was widely supporting and aiding the terrorists, which in are responsible for 9/11 events. now I don't remeber Georgia bombing Moscow or St. Petersburg. Again I want to repeat SOUTH OSSETIA IS PART OF GEORGIA.

5 - Georgia has fully withdrawn his forces from Tskhinvali (Capital of South Ossetia), and Saakashvili (President of Georgia) sent an Official Note to russian embassy, that it stoped fire. what was Russias response? They Bombed 4 new targets in Georgia (WHICH ARE OUTSIDE SOUTH OSSETIAN CONFLICT ZONE)

Now President Saakashvili has signed an official declaration about ceasefire, and foreign Ministers of Finland and France are going to take it to Moscow, I hope Prime Minister and De Facto President and Even De Facto Dictator of Russia (Vladimir Putin) will stop killing civilians after this.

Now I would like to suggest to you guys (who think of similarities between Iraq and Georgia) look more deeply into the details and you'll see that these two cases have absolutely nothing common.

    Thank You!

    P.S. To James V.

I would appreciate a lot if people with no appropriate knowledge about Georgia, about United Nations and about International Relations Do NOT TRY to answer such questions, because it really is misleading and confusing. Georgia Is a Member of U.N., and it has never been part of Russia, (It was part of Soviet Union). Before Soviet Union Georgia has been indepedent from the times of Alexander the Great.

I would suggest you to take a look at the list of members of U.N.

  10. No. A better comparison is Germany's invasion of the Sudetenland in 1938, using the excuse that ethnic Germans were being slaughtered (which was a total lie). The only people complaining were n***s who had infiltrated the area to foment unrest.

  11. Is a different situation , and whether you are against the war or not you have to admit two things , first the Russian attack was unprovoked  and second both Comunists ( and Russia still is ) and radical Islamist are sneaky , cowards , murderers that will take advantage of all the protection and oportunities any democracy give them to reach their goals , and once they do they don't  give any chance to the oposition .

Saddly, liberals , leftists and people confusing the facts give them support ignoring that for them democracy is the DEVIL

  12. Not even close.  You've just forgotten about the world and UN scrutiny of Saddam.

  13. Georgia is a real democracy and is cooperative with us. Putin has a history of having illegitmate elections and being somewhat like a dictator. Russia has a history of bullying their neighbors and they want that power back they once had. Iraq was hostile to the UN and the US. They had  brutal dictator who killed his people and had sham elections. Simple as that.

  14. No.  Iraq/U.S. is an ideological war.  Russia/Georgia is a territorial "war."  Territorial disputes start world wars.
