  1. it used to. but, they got homeless for a reason. they aren't born that way. i just think of the reasons why they got that way. drugs, cheating, alcohol, stealing......if they need money that bad, they can geta job just like everybody else in the world.

  2. Not usually, no.  Sometimes I feel sad, and I often feel sorry for them, but it is rare that I feel heartbroken.  I live in the San Francisco Bay Area.  There are many con artists here who pretend to be homeless when they are not.  There are also many homeless people who try to intimidate people into giving them money.  When I have the money to spare and when I don't feel threatened or manipulated, I try to help.  Sometimes I give them money.  Other times I give them food and non-alcoholic drinks.  I also give to food banks and other charities, and not just during the holidays.

  3. Yes it does, and you were very kind.

  4. Yes, it is sad to see them and it feels good to help. Not all of them can be helped t hough, some chooses to live that way.

I don't usually give them money (don't want to finance alcohol or drug use), but often hand out canned food. I buy the kind that they can open without a can opener like Campbell's Chunky Soups). They can warm it up over a candle.

  5. yah i feel terrible when i see them too. it hurts to see others in that kind of situation. which is why people should count their blessings and not complain so much about what they don't have and think about all they do have.

  6. That's nice of you? Do you know what he will buy with that 10 dollars you gave him? He will most likely spend it on ciggs or alcohol. And you know what's funny? If someone is poor and homeless and begging for money at the intersection on the highway, how do they chat on that cellphone they are holding? Where does the bill get sent to? And how about that nice leather jacket? Just saying. There are a ton of homeless people who are that way for choices they have made, to get into drugs, etc. But I can say one thing, it makes me so very grateful for what I have that many people take for granted everyday.

  7. Yes it does and bless your heart for caring that much:)

  8. i a homeless person on a skool trip. me and my frend were dawdling behind the others wen we were walking through town and 1 came up and asked 4 sum money but our teacher saw us and raced up to us and pushed us away and told the guy to leave us alone. i felt pretty bad for him, but i was quite scared wen he came up to us!

  9. Recently at an Arbys a hungry man and woman came in and the store manager was not very nice to them when they asked to work for some food.   It broke my heart and I wrote an article about it.  It makes me want to cry.

If you have time let me know what you think of the article. I dont think ill ever go back to Arbys myself.
