Doesnt it make ya sad?

Question

i was looking on craigslist under pets in tulsa.. (im at work and bored) and i see so many wonderful dogs that need homes. i wish i could take them all. Isnt this just sad? I hate it when people get pets, and then can't take care of them. I have already adopted two dogs that people have dropped off in our neighborhood.

Do you see this in your town too? i actually live in a smaller town of about 15,000 people and we've only got one humane society (i volunteer there) that can only hold about 60 dogs.

Once i get out of college and get a good job, i will definilty either be starting up another humane society, or helping them expand theirs.

I too look through Craigslist when I am bored, pets being one of the most frequent visits of mine. I do think its sad as well, it looks like you have your heart in the right place. I always wanted to have a large amount of land so I could save all of these poor puppies and dogs. Hope your future works out and you can save our furry friends!

i live in Kansas and i actually read something not to long ago that said we had the most puppy mills in America.... i didnt realize it, but i see ads all the time for people selling like 4 or 5 different breeds of puppies , very sad and sickening.

I look at the ads a lot as well and it is sad.

It makes me angry more though, most of those animals will be dead soon because thsoe responisible for them failed. I understand some just can't keep the animal and have no other chocie, but most- that's not the case...

same here:D i like to volunteer there and try to do the most i can:( it is sad and it drivez me insane when i hear about dog fighting or people who abuse there dogs? it doesnt make snece to me? it would be easier for me to kill and hurt a human then a inocent animal who just wants to love me:/ or people who breed dogs and then just throw them away and not even care its stupid and unhuman

my babie boy was in a bad situation at one time before we had him yes it makes me sad how anyone can hurt animals and abandon them i dont like those kinds of people

Good for you to want to do something like that to help!  Yes, I too just wish I could take them all and give them a loving home.  It breaks my heart.

Yes, it is very sad. And I wish I could adopt all the pets I see in pounds and shelters. I am a huge animal lover and hate seeing these things. I can't stand it when people drop off animals places...we used to see them all the time where I used to live and I would try to get my parents to pick them up so we could help them and give them good homes and we tried the best we could. Where I live now I don't see that many but we did see a kitten and I made my mom turn around and get it. But I like hearing about people trying to help.
