for instance there is a question that says something like "if you had 3 questions for God, what would it be" well one atheists was like

"why did you let such horrible things happen to us?

"why are you mean?"

"why did the holocaust happen?"

"you are all-knowing, why do you let these things happen"

and then there are other examples like

"if God exists why does he let babies be born disfigured, and premature and blind"

doesnt it seem like they are trying to reach out to God for answers?

  1. No, it's realizing the bible was nothing more than a story (the first one with metaphors) that a few people wrote when they were on some sort of psychoactive drug, and people took it seriously.

If the things being said/wrote about back then were just coming out now, we would call those writers insane.

  2. we shouldnt ask Him those questions because He can snap back at us and ask us to explain why WE have genocide, infanticide, slavery, religious intolerance, over 2000 years of wars, guns, std, incest, cocaine, drive-by shootings, pedophiles, mass murders, serial killers, pollution, starvation, bullies, and taxes on HIS beautiful planet! Just so you know, theres no atheists in foxholes, SAT testing and Powerball lines!!

  3. Yeah, if you are God and those hooters are real!!   ;)   LOL

  4. Yeah, we're just joking around.

    You got me!

  5. Doesn't it seem that theists don't believe in god, with the way they act?

  6. Yep, and you're going to attract a lot of defensive Athiests with this question. lol

  7. I view questions like that as hypothetical. So that is the manner in which I answer them.

  8. I agree with you. And why would people be so angry towards God if they didn't believe in Him.

    Sincerely, Andrew

  9. not rl... it looks more like questions that insinuate that he doesnt rl exist , those are the kind of questions they use to say he doesnt rl exist

  10. They're trying to reason with you, using your preconceived ideas.

It's like explaining to someone why slavery is wrong.  Because you say "Don't you think slaves also have intelligence and emotions, just like you?" doesn't mean you somehow secretly want to own slaves.

  11. Atheists, apparently due to (insert your choice quality here), are able to look at situations in a hypothetical sense.  We are able to say, "In the situation that the premise is true..."  I understand that this ability eludes many people.  We, fortunately, are not among them.

  12. No, we are not trying to reach out to god.  Anymore than we are trying to reach out to Apollo.
