Doesnt the US respect international students??

First of all,the US requires visa seekers to undergo a personal interview,in the interview they dont even take 5 mins to determine whether the applicant's intention is to overstay his/her visa. They dont let u demonstrate ties to your home country or show that u have sufficient funds to cover the expenses. The United States just wants the money the applicants pay for visa application.I dont think they record the conversation that takes place b/w the consul & the applicant so as to review the application in case the applicant has been dealt with unfairly.Atleast,if they take so little time there must be 2 persons to take the interview & the applicant must b given a fair chance to speak.

Conclusion:The US doesnt need, respect or encourage students.

I believe more than 50% student visas are denied. The US should learn from other countries like Canada,UK,Australia,New Zealand, etc.Unlike the US these nations respect students & dont create problems for them once they are granted admission!!!!!

  1. That's ridiculous.  You have plenty of opportunity to turn in all proofs of ties to your native country.  Your personal interview is not a chance to "make an argument".  It's simply a chance for the government to clarify any questions that it might have from your already submitted documents and applications. If they don't need any clarification, it can be quite brief.

If you got refused a student visa, it has nothing to do with "respect".  Your "beliefs" and "feelings" about how many visas are rejected are just plain wrong.  Serious full time students that have the money to support themselves are  accepted unless their background is shady.

Period.  Deal with your rejection and get on with life.  If you despise the US so much, go study somewhere else.  International students in the US have it quite easy.  That's why so many terrorists use that path to enter the country.
