  1. I have one and I'm 27! My little sister has had one for several years, she's 18 now. My mom didn't even know anything about it until I got an account and mentioned something about my sister being on my friends list. My mother never even looks at my sister's my space page, but she tries to use me to keep up on what's going on with my sister.

One good thing about myspace is if you're under 18 your page is automatically set to private for anyone over the age of 18 so that you don't get creepy old guys looking at your kid's pictures. Aside from that, you just have to trust your child.

  2. im 15 and i have one, it isnt the websites fault that kids are getting into situations with pedofiles! myspace has no control on who your teen talks with online,my mom is ok with it because she trusts me! plus she has my password and checks it all the time, im not allowed to send or a approve a friend request to anyone i dont know.

  3. I actually have a myspace account, lol. I got it originially to keep up with my family and friends. My parents live in a different state and a lotof my close friends either live far away or when my hubby was in the military, we lived far away. It's a good way to put pictures of your kids up withoug having people look at them unless they are your friends. I keep mine private and have to invite you in order to see my page.

    Oh yeah....I'm 22

  4. I have a 15 year old brother who has a myspace. My father does not realize it but he is staying up all night talking to "girls" from that site. (I have tried telling my father but he is not listening to me.) I personally would allow such a thing with my kids.

Having a myspace at a certain age is okay, as long as the children understand their boundaries and are not allowed on it alone. Profiles should be set to private and parents should be allowed to see who is a friend. The restrictions will become looser as the child gets older and becomes more responsible and understands the dangers associated with the website.

  5. i have ine and i t is all good they dnt care they keep an eye on wat i do

  6. Yes, my daughter has a myspace. I am very fine with it as long as she keeps it private and accept friends that she knows!

  7. my daughter and stepson both have a myspace. i have their password to get into anytime i want. if they change it without telling me, they lose the priveledge for a month. if i find something derogatory on there from them, they are off for good. if i find somthing on there derogatory that they didn't delete from someone else, we change the name and account together.-i should have clarified, i havent found anything bad yet. and both my kids tell me and have me look if they get something that they aren't for sure that i would approve of. i am hoping that is a good communication on our part, lol!

  8. my parents let me

    have one and they dont

    mind because i'm not

    stupid enough to tell someone

    where i live :]

  9. Neither of my teens have one, but they don't want one either. If they did, I would have to think long and hard and definitely set up safety parameters.

  10. im an adult now but ive had my myspace page for a couple years now and i only add ppl i know and when ever my mom wanted to she could look at my page and ask me about all my friends and i could tell her who they were and how i knew them...but what stopped her worrying was she made a page for herself and added me to hers so she could check up on me when she wanted...i didnt mind because i wasnt doing anything bad on mine....and dont get her password she is entitled to a little privacy just make sure you teach her the dangers of talking to and adding strangers

  11. i do i am 19 and my little brother who is 15 does . hes responsible and way mature for his age . they have parental control to block people and to only allow people u add to see ur page . now when kids put hey my name is Sarah from south cali i live on 9 av . in a red house and talk to people thats when u need to stop stuff like that

  12. Im a teen. Though, its understandable why you wouldn't want you child having a myspace. The site is another form of communication, in addition to talking on the phone and emails. On top of that, it gives you something to do. The experience makes communication fun.

Although, myspace can be hazordous. Make sure your teen only has conversations with people he or she knows, and not to trust outdside "friend requests".

Im a teen and I understand both the yes or the no. Personally, im allowed to have a myspace without concern of my parents, but you should always check up on your child.

  13. My soon-to-be step-daughter (age 11) has one and I hate it!  My boyfriend and I used to have our own, also.  That's how we noticed she had one.  It wasn't even set on "private"!  Her mother set it up for her...because she thought it was a good idea, I guess.

I really think it would be great if there was some kind of MySpace Jr out there.  Kids really want to be a part of it, and I think it's a website for adults.

  14. I am a teen and no I do not have a Myspace! My parents won't let me have one and I don't want one!

  15. i have one.

but like that person who answered first.

    she has my password.

she doesnt go on it tho.

    she trusts me.

cause she know im not gonna add random people.

  16. My 15 year old daughter has a myspace and I have her password. She knows that she has to keep it decent and all of her friends have to respect her and respect my rules and keep things decent as well.

I haven't gone on her myspace to check up on her yet but I will if I feel it is necessary. Sometimes we look at it together and she shows me funny pictures of her friends etc.  I ask questions about myspace and the conversations and her friends and she loves to tell me about it...so far anyway.

  17. im not a teen but i have a myspace! im 21...and i would let my kid have one only if i saw what he/she put on it

  18. wel my mother lets me have one :)

    she doesnt care much.

but she has my password and stuff.

as long as i dont do anything weird im okay :)
