Dog Breed??? Help...?

Question

Hi. What Breed of Dog is on the small side (8 -10 lbs.) Give or take a little. That is short, cobby, big built in stature, and are loyal, protective, good pets, etc... That make good inside pets?

I was thinking along the lines of a Boston Terrier,

French Terrier type Breed. ??? They are the build I am looking for, but don't know much about there personality. I am looking to purchase a Breed that is built something like a boston terrier, french terrier and something with the personality resembling a Chihuahua. Hope this don't sound silly, I just like the persona's of Chi's. but they are too small, delicate for my taste. Thank you.... :)

I will probably get in trouble for recommending a mixed breed but I have a Chihuahua/Poodle mix (Chipoo) that is all of those things. He is 12 pounds, short, with a solid build, EXTREMELY loyal and protective. He is the sweetest thing and loves cuddle at times and play all the time. He even entertains himself (and us) by throwing his toys around the room, burying them and himself in blankets and all sorts of other games he can devise in his smart little head. He is indoor potty trained, but loves to go outside for walks and playing...

Well, if you can get a little bigger one, i would reccomend a Cavalier KIng Charles Spaniel, very good temperment, very cute. THey're great around other dogs and children too!
