  1. Could be a number of things.  Treat them both as trainees.  Take them both out often and praise them when they do a good job.  No yelling, no punishing for mistakes,  they do not understand.  Be sure to clean spots and use some of the enzyme deodorizer.

You older guy might be a little jealous of the new guy.  He is claiming the house as his by marking it.  Try not to be angry with him, just make sure he goes out often.

  2. Regression by other dogs in the household is very common when a new puppy is brought into the house.

Take your older dog outside on the same schedule you're taking the puppy out on.  If the older one has an accident, treat it just like the puppy - If you catch it in progress, yell and clap to startle it, then take it outside.  Clean up the spot well with an enzymatic cleaner to remove the scent.

  3. Don't take this as a professional answer but maybe your 1st dog wants more attention. Or he see's the other dog and is influenced by your puppy, although i doubt it. It's mostly the older dogs that influence the youger pups.

Good Luck. Sorry if this isn't much help.

  4. Buy pee pads! Keep them around the house...if your new dog has an accident, first bring the dog to that area and say no!,  put the pad on that spot so the dog can associate the accident with the pad. As for the other dog, maybe he/she isn't comfortable with the new dog and is rebelling.
