My dog chewed a hole in my sons brand new comforter. Comforter came in a set "bed in a bag" so I cannot just replace the comforter. Don't want to throw out because we just got. I thought about placing an iron-on patch over it, checked on-line and not many 12" x 12" patches available. Anyone have any ideas??? Dog took out a chunk so I cannot just sew together.

  1. Did your set come with shams or pillow cases? Cause you could use one of them to patch up the comforter and it would match pretty good if it came from the same set. You can get iron on tape at a fabric store and probably even in a grocery store. Or just get some other fabric and patch several spots so it looks like it was on purpose. Good luck.

  2. Get a fabric that matches closely and make your own iron-on patch using Stitch Witch or other fusing tape...you can find it at your fabric store.
