Dog food question again..?

okay so I have a 14 week old great dane/st bernard puppy. Right now she is on IAMS large puppy and I want to get her off of it though I've never actually had a problem with it.

So greatdanelady told me to buy Eagle Pack holistic puppy food

BUT then everyone tells me not to feed puppy food

Then some people tell me to feed Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover's Soul.

What do I buy?!

please only recommend to me and explain ONLY what dog food to get.

Well if they get used to puppy food, it might be hard to get them off it. DONT DO THE CHICKEN SOUP THING!! My dogs hated that vegtable dog food. And it made them p**p all over. I think it is best to stay on LAMS.

I don't see what's wrong with the Eagle Brand food to begin with though.  If it was what he was raised on, he's used to it and it's a very good quality food.

I would get Beneful or Nature's Choice. They are great foods. Really dont get IAMS if you are a petlover...

Iams and Benefil are both c**p - you are right

however you didnt say what country you are in... so hard to reccommend a better brand (both Iams and Benefil are sold in many countries)

you should feed a LARGE BREED PUPPY formula.. if MUST say "LARGE BREED" formula.

most times people feed this until 18 months of age for the large breed dogs

you want to SLOW down their growth rate. regular puppy food does not do this

in Canada NUTRAM is human grade premium quality.

Trust Linda Arndt the Great Dane Lady. She knows what she's talking about. Some puppy formulas are not great for growing large breed puppies, but Eagle Pack is very well formulated.

Every dog can eat puppy food because I am feeding them. My dog 2 year.

purina puppy is great. get the large breed puppy to balance his growth.  If he grow's to fast he may have bad knees and hip's.  I have had a dog that was healthy for 20 year's on it.
