Question:

Dog has apple seeds in stool?

I have NO idea how he got his hands on apple seeds. I do eat apples quite a lot but I make sure whenever I put her on the ground she doesn't eat anything. Maybe my mom let him down without watching or something, anyways.

Between his last 2 stools he's had 4 apple seeds altogether in the stools. They haven't been chewed or anything, full seeds. Should I be worried for his health? He's a small pom puppy.

  1. Apple seeds are toxic to humans, i don't know about dogs though. If it came out full, it means it wasn't ingested into the body, which means he's fine, but if he starts to act differently, take him to the vet.

  2. Are you certain its apple seed? It could possibly be works or something like that. Keep an eye on the p**p and if you still see odd seed looking things you might want to bring a stool sample to the vet.

Either that or somehow he is getting apples =)

  3. No you shouldn't need to worry about it the apple seeds will pass but keep her away from people food it isn't the best for her!

    hope this helps

  4. Oh my god! you let him eat apples?!

  5. Do you take him on a walk near an apple tree. It is simply just an apple, don't worry about it. Stray dogs eat apples, I'm sure, and they are fine!

    Don't worry about it!

    Good Luck!
