Dog has chunks of hair missing on top of head?

My 10 year old malamute came up last night and we noticed a circle the size of a quarter of hair missing, it looks like someone burned it off. we put neosporin on it. Well this morning another boo boo near that area is gone and looks the same. We aren't sure whats going on, whether our younger dog is doing it or what.

Is it an outside dog? Does he have sores? or just missing hair?

could be dry skin- mainge- or a number of things.

My dog did the same thing only it was his neck, the vet had me pick up some fish oil caplets from the drug store (vitamins) and give him once a day. within a few days his hair came back and was all better.

I'm no expert .

But, It could be the other dog, but its not certain .

I say just keep an eye on the dogs, and then if you're question isn't answered take them to your local vet.
