we've just got a dog from a shelter

18 months old and has previously had 2 litters,

she is a small skinny dog but has these big t***s which look bigger because she's so thin, the people at the shelter said they will go as the milk drys up,

and idea how long it could take?

also and tips on how we can hurry it along?

  1. Pickle Juice that's all you need it will dry the milk right up and her t***s will draw back up to and won't be saggy or anything like that so give her some pickle juice trust me I have used it on all my female dogs after they have weaned their puppies.

  2. Hehe, whatever you do don't scratch her belly, this keeps her stimulated. and there are medications  to help her dry up. Feed her premium dog food to get her back into shape.

  3. I don't think there is any way to hurry it up just feed her normally and hope she gains weight

  4. Poor girl :/ Though it is wonderful that you rescued her. I think that is really great =)

There is no way to hurry it along, just feed her and get her weight back up. Has she already been spayed?

Normally after a dog has a litter, its **** will stay larger then normal, even after you got her spayed. My rescued Maltese has this problem. She came from a puppy mill, but is now spayed but her **** are larger then my dogs who have never had a litter before.

  5. There's unfortunately nothing that you can do to help move along the process, if the puppies are no longer nursing, which I assume is the case, then they will do it all on there own. Just be patient it can take weeks for them to dry up completely.

  6. awesome on going for a shelter dog. got mine from there to. she also had a litter or two and her t***s were big when i got her and that was in dec. they have gone down and it has taken time.have no idea how make it faster.
