A dog, picked up off the street, was tied by a short rope to a wall and starved to death with the words "eres lo que lees" (meaning "you are what you read") written in dog food above its head.
The director of the art establishment claims that the dog was only tied up for one day before escaping, but the "artist" himself admits that the dog died (later changing his story several times to suit the outraged animal lovers). The truth is unknown, but the fact that this man was elected to represent his country in another art exhibition. He was asked to display another presentation like this one.
