  1. yes she is more then likely going to have pups.  Broke or not it will happen.  You can try and find someone to take over the care of your dog for you and give her up until you learn more about dogs and there behaviors or stick it out learn all you can and talk to your local vet and try and work something out with them to take care of your pups and then sell them and maybe recoupe some of your $$ although it wont be much.

  2. Well, this is your fault. Why were the dogs not spayed and neuterd! Give the dogs to people who can actually afford to care for them.

  3. If you are broke I suggest getting the dog spayed right away because she is no doubt pregnant and will cost you a lot more to whelp her pups and raise them to 8 weeks when they can go to new homes that it will to spay her. You will be looking at $1,000 minimum to raise the pups. Most probably a lot more than that. $200 at most to spay her. Do the math. Spay her right away.

  4. Pregnant dogs and their litters are VERY expensive to care for.  If you're "broke", then PLEASE find her a good home that can afford to have her spayed!

  5. Was the female in heat? If not, don't worry. Is she spayed? If not, get her spayed. I heard there are places where they do it for free.

  6. yeah take your dog to humane society or rescue centre they will provide low cost vet visits spaying etc. Oh and ignore all these high and mighty people lecturing about it, its all after the fact can only do what you can do now to secure your dog is healthy and the pups go to good homes. It will cost you some money though so try and get together what you can. Good Luck!

I just want to say as well that loads of people take very good care of their dogs and dont have them spayed (accidents happen)!! do they not?

  7. Please tell me why you would let them mate when you have no idea what you are doing. Take her to the vet asap and get her spayed.

  8. Unfortunately this is all to common an occurrence.  There are low cost or free spay/neuter clinics in every major city.  Contact your local vet or humane society (ASPCA) and ask for help.

Litters are a horrendous amount of work, even for those of us who know what they are doing.  They are expensive, smelly, messy, and if you are trying to make money, or recoup expenses, good luck.

You need to alter BOTH of your dogs.  Even if your female is pregnant, get her spayed ASAP, and prevent other unwanted litters by neutering your male.

  9. If you don't have enough to fix the dog, then don't own one.  I hope you go bankrupt now.

  10. Well if your male dog has been mating with the female, then she is most likely in heat and the likelihood of pregnancy is good. Why were they not fixed before? Why weren't they separated when she was in heat? Heh, if you think you are broke now what are you going to do about taking the female to the vet to ensure her good health during pregnancy? What are you going to do it there are complications with the pregnancy or whelping? You had better start saving up some money and doing research to educate yourself.

  11. Find a low cost spay neuter clinic in your area and use it.

  12. Call a local, non-kill rescue center. If your dog is pregnant, they will probably assist with the birth and find the puppies homes.  If the dog isn't pregnant, local humane societies offer low cost spaying and neutering.  The rescue center can also assist in symptoms of pregnancy.  Look on petfinder.com for one in your area.
