now listen i talked to my uncle who is a lawyer as well as checked back through research books. since there is no leash law were i live and my dog was in my yard she was trespassing. and it is not an emergency since no one was endangerd. these are my laws as i correctly explained to you. and for anyone that said law enforcement is on my property if it is an emergency i never said they couldn't if i call them that already means they have permission, i don't watch too much t.v i spend to much time all the computer trying to find answer to my questions.from some wanna be who thinks they know the answer, i don't mean everybody and i think you know who i am talking to. so anybody better think twice before telling me i stated my laws wrong since you don't even know where the h**l i live do you understand. thanks for the answers without attitutde. emergency_ a sudden, urgent, usually unexpected occurrence or occasion requiring immediate action like a dog i live outside city limits anyway

  1. I didn't see your first question...but...each state and municipality have or don't have laws concerning animal control.

Normally, municipal "codes" are more strict than out in the county due to close quarters of neighbors. As such, stray animals are a bigger concern in a city than out in the county.

In my own county, there ARE laws that prohibit the stray running of animals and as such an animal control officer CAN come upon your property to gain control of a stray.

If your pet is confined upon the property by means of a fenced yard or other similar containment, then the animal control officer won't come upon the property.

What is applicable in my state, however, may be different than your state!
