She is a miniature schnauzer, I treated her last night with Sergeant's Gold and she threw up last night and was acting off this morning. She ate and drank without throwing up and I thought she was ok, but now she is drooling and keeps turning to bite at her back and acts confused. She has an apt at 3pm there are no animal hospitals near. She is laying in her crate now and ate a treat but very odd acting. What can I do in these next 3 hours??? Anything???? =(

  1. I would just take her to the vet right away.  If they see that it is an emergency they hopefully won't have the heart to make you wait.

  2. Wash her off and s***w waiting around until 3, the longer she waits the worse it will get.

She needs a vet now, just show up, they'll get you in.

  3. I'd wash her, several times.  If you don't have any plain dog shampoo, use baby wash/shampoo.

  4. WASH HER OFF IMMEDIATELY!! Get as much of that stuff off as you can. Products such as Hartz and Sergeant's are not vet approved and can be toxic to some animals. It is safer to go to a vet and get Advantage or Promeris for fleas.

  5. Bathe her immediately, and get as much of the medication off her skin as you possibly can. She may be having a reaction to the ingredients in the collar. Still keep your 3:00pm doctor's appointment....some of the ingredients in the collar have already been absorbed into her body, and that's what she may be reacting to it.
