It permeates everything! The whole house smells of urine! What do I do? I've already cleaned it up. There's nothing left, anywhere, that I can find. HELP.

  1. Find out which carpet little Fido is peeing on and rip it up. That's what I had to do. Problem solved. The reason is that the urine gets into the carpet pad and no amount of cleaning will get it out.

  2. Vinegar will help cover the smell, if you have no carpet, i guess your gonna have to follow the little guy around!

  3. Urine will show up using a black light if the room is dark. You can get one at walmart . They even sometimes sell kits just for this, but any good blacklight will do. If there is urine it WILL show up. They use blacklights in the food/health industry to spot things that have been contaminated with urine.

After you find the spots use an enzymatic cleaner designed to break down dog urine like Natures Miracle. You can probably find it at walmart, and definately you can find it at any pet supply store. It actually breaks down the urine and is not just trying to mask the odors.

  4. try lysol in the brown bottle to mop the floors and then try a glass of vinegar in each room left out till it evaporates then burn some good smelling candles or incense

  5. did you pull out your carpet for that reason, too?  i know we had to.  we have pups.. and accidents happen WAY too much.

get a steam cleaner on ALL of the furniture.  and the mattresses.  put bowls of vinegar out to absorb odors (i suggest putting this out of puppy reach as they are curious).  the odor sponges accomplish the same thing but cost SO much more.  the floor may have absorbed it so mop it with bleach water.  that's the best thing we can do for our floors.

and good luck with house training.

  6. Well, if you don't have carpet in the house mop your floor surfaces with diluted vinegar/water... It's safe for most floor surfaces and will neutralize odor....

    good luck
