Dog with a short leg...please help!?

i have posted a question here yesterday regarding a dog i rescued 3 days ago...well i took him to the vet for a check up and his left back leg has been broken and is 3cm shorter than his other 3 legs, he is a small sized dog so the doctor said it wouldnt be much of a problem, has anyone ever had anything like that and is it a problem? like can i take him for walks and for how long because i dont want to hurt his leg.he moves around just fine but he is not able to bend the leg...i guess its broken where the joint is...any advice?

your dog should be fine and able to to a good 10-15 minute walk before getting tired. Dogs that have gone through amputation have the same problem but having three legs doesnt effect your dog a great deal.
