  1. Just because he loves grapes doesn't mean that he doesn't like other things! But make sure that you research whatever you give him and make sure that it is Ok for a dog to eat:) It's just like a person - if you really really love strawberries does that mean that you would prefer to be a vegetarian? Hope that helps!

  2. Dogs are actually OMNIVORES. Mine loves to eat my panties, paper and wood in addition to absolutely any food a person would eat, including vegetables. Be careful what you give him, though, Large amounts of grapes can be toxic to your dog's kidneys. Apparently, onions, garlic, broccoli, chocolate, and other common people foods can be toxic too. See the links below for a complete list.

  3. A carnivore can't survive as a vegetarian.  A dog cannot survive on a diet of grapes, as they can be lethal to dogs.  A piece of apple or baby carrot here and there is fine.

  4. grapes aren't good for dogs and domesticated dogs the ones we get for pets are omnivores they eat corn and other vegtables

  5. Grapes (and raisins) can be extremely harmful to dogs! Whether he loves them or not, you need to stop giving them to him.

If you want a healthy, low calorie snack, try baby carrots instead. My dogs are crazy about them.

  6. no way my dog is the same he will eat all kinds of veggies and fruits but when choosing meat over veggies he will take the fruit maby you should give your pooch the test put meat like a few peaces of terkey or ham and some grapes in your doggies face and see what he picks but even if he does pick the grapes still let him have the meat if he wants it becuse dogs are very complex and if u cut him off of meat he may get ill

  7. No, my dog will eat ANYTHING...even onions.  However, I wouldn't feed your dog grapes because it's not that good for it's stomach and will give it the runs.

  8. PLEASE stop giving your dog grapes.  they are toxic and can lead to renal failure.

onions are toxic to them too btw.

  9. No, my dog loves popcorn but I'm not going to suddenly stop giving him meaty dog food. I'm sure your dog would still rather be a carnivore, he just likes a bit of variety.

  10. grapes and rasins can kill your dog ! not kidding 1 out of 7 times it will kill him. it's just as dangerous as chocolate.

  11. Dogs like sweets, grapes are sweet.

Your dog is still a carnivore.

STOP FEEDING HIM GRAPES, you are killing him. Grapes and raisines are toxic for dogs.

  12. dogs are not carnivores they are omnivores but you shouldn't make your dog a vegetarian and don't feed it people food. you should just feed it a good quality pet food.

  13. The only animals that are domestic and true carnivores are cats.  Dogs eat anything and everything.  GRAPES ARE POISONOUS to dogs.  Please do your research and find out what your dog can and can't eat, or stick with just dog food and treats.  Grapes, Onions, Chocolate, to name a few, are all very dangerous for you dog to eat.

  14. well i eat fruit and veg it don't mean I'm a vegetarian  he just likes grapes too  but if he isn't eating mean then yes he is a vegetarian or maybe he just prefers not to eat meat

  15. No he doesn't "prefer" to be anything but what he is.  Dogs are primarily carnivores but they are omnivorous.  Meaning that they will eat vegetables and meats.

  16. Please dont feed dogs or cats grapes they are TOXIC to them and cause kidney failure!!!

And dogs are omnivores so they eat everything. They like grapes because they are sweet and juicy, not knowing they will kill them in large enough quantities!

  17. the grapes are sweet to the dog so he eats them. it doesnt mean he prefers to be vegitarian. my dog eats a little bit of apple sometimes but she LOVES steak.  grapes are toxic to dogs if they eat too many.

  18. you should never ever feed your dog grapes

They are highly poisonous to them and can cause serious kindey failure

  19. 2 things:

Grapes are toxic for dogs. There are plenty of websites that list plants and foods that dogs should not be allowed to eat.

Also, you should research and find the best food for your dog. I top my dogs dry kibble with carrots, bananas, blueberries, pineapple, etc. They especially love carrots. There are plenty of veggies and fruit that are ok for them. For instance, pineapple aids in digestion and dilutes the odor of the urine. Apples are good for dogs, but apple seeds are toxic.

  21. you really shouldn't give your dog grapes. it is like a poison to them the same as raisins and chocolate. it could end up ill or worse. plus he dosn't want to be a veggie.

  22. Do not give your dog grapes!!!!!  They are very bad for dogs and will cause kidney failure.

Most dogs like a mix of protein and vegetables--dogs in the wild eat not only animals they catch, but the contents of their stomachs. And since they mostly hunt herbivores, this means lots of vegetable matter.

But please, do not give your dog grapes, raisins, etc.

  23. Just like people they sometimes like food that have little nutritional value to them (dogs are actaully omnivors btw and can survive but not thrive on a diet with no meat unlike cats who cannot survive in a meatless diet)    Be careful feeding grapes though they can be toxic in large (based on the size of the dog) quantaties

  24. Dogs are omnivores.

Grapes are toxic to dogs!! In large amounts, they are deadly.

I don't think dogs have a preference to become anything. They like what they like.

  25. My dog loves veg and fruit so we cook veg and give it to him with his dinner and he has bits of fruit in the morning and when ever i have fruit he has a bit or 2!!!!

It's strange but i love him so i don't mind!!!

  26. Grapes are poisonous to a dog and WILL kill him in the future. And dogs are meant to be carnivores, look at their teeth compared to a horse's. Then you'll note the difference and see that dogs are meant to eat meat.

  27. No grapes are poison to dogs so do not feed them at all, the idea of a vegetarian dog is ridiculous.

  28. Grapes are among a list of things that can be poisonous to dogs.  I would be very wary about giving them to your dog as treats.

  29. Dogs are omnivores.  Grapes are bad for them, but carrots are good for them.  They make a flatulence-free accompaniment to meat.

  30. Dogs do love fruit, its that simple!  I think its the juice content as much as anything!

My dog used to eat pears straight off the tree and my inlaws dog eats pears, apples and even bananas but takes the skin off first all by himself!

He just likes a bit of variety, that's all, and looking at dog food who can blame him!

  31. no it's just dogs love fruits too just like we do but you shouldn't feed your dog grapes either because grapes are acidic to their stomachs so try some other fruits and vegetables and if you want you can mix it with her other food and see if that works out for you
