  1. for my hearts, yes and it has been proven a woman can get pregnant by 2 men if she is fertile and has s*x with both on same day. she could give birth to fraternal twins so they wont look alike.

and yes same go for dogs, some years ago a female poodle we had was breed to a male poodle and the caught by a shepard the next day. I didn't realize till a week later and my female had to be aborted and spayed. Loss of a good show dog.

  2. It CAN happen! However since AKC has started registering dual sired litters (with DNA to determine father of each pup) the surprise has been that most of the time ONLY the male with the best timing sired all pups.

PS she can not get preg or is likely to ALLOW a mating except during the heat cycle most particularly the week of prime fertility....

  3. As soon as she stops being in heat, she's safe around other males.  If they have no interest in her, they won't try to mount her.

  4. FEMALES ARE IN SEASON FOR A TOTAL OF 21 DAYS.

    FIRST 7 COMING IN SEASON

    SECOND 7 BREEDING TIME

THIRD 7 GOING OUT OF SEASON

  5. If she is out of heat then she won't let any dog mount her. Seriously go and get your dog spayed and the pregnancy aborted. These are things you ask your BREED MENTOR BEFORE you let your dogs mate

  6. The female can continue to have eggs fertilized by one or more males until she is no longer shedding them.  The period of fertility is approx 7 days from the first mating.    After that time she will go out of heat and into reproductive rest if not fertilized, or into the pregnancy if she is. Either way she'll let the male know in no  uncertain terms his services are no longer needed when the fertile week is over.

Yes, each egg can be fertilized by a different male; this is called a multiple sire litter.   I saw a rescued black Lab who gave birth to such a litter.  She had been seen mating with a Dalmatian, a Chow, a German shepherd, a yellow Lab, and  and something small and wirecoated.   The litter of 12 contained 3 pups with Dal spot,  3 that had Chow characteristics, 2 that were clearly marked like GSDs, 3 that looked pure black Lab,  and one that was wiry and small.   Actually, this can happen with humans also, when a woman produces 2 eggs in her cycle rather than one,  and has been with more than one man.

  7. Yes, they can mate with multiple mates and have multiple fathers of the offspring. But not "up until birth", only during a short period of time.

Have her spayed. The vet can do an emergency spay so she won't have puppies.

    .

  8. I can't be too sure with dogs, I'm assuming its hard to tell if they are pregnant. Maybe you could call a 24 hour veterinary clinic and see what they have to say?

Or I'm sure your dogs vet could find out as well.

  9. The question is, why was she not spayed in the first place?

  10. Yes it is possible. Keep your dog away from other males for at least a week after she's been bred. Once implantation has taken place the female will start to go out of heat and can no longer get pregnant by other males.
